We are seeking an experienced and reliable Bookkeeper / Accountant to join our team in Lockerbie. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and managing day-to-day accounting functions.
The role is permanent and full time, however part time hours may be considered.
Key Responsibilities include (but not limited to)
- Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Manage payroll and related statutory submissions
- Assist with budgeting and cash flow forecasting
- Support audits and liaise with external accountants when required
- Maintain and improve accounting systems and processes
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, Accountant, or similar role
- Relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Bookkeeping
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Advanced Excel skills preferred
