Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Gardening Supervisor/Group Worker to deliver high-quality gardening services while supporting adults (16+) with additional support needs to participate in meaningful work placements.
The post holder will combine practical gardening skills with the ability to coach, supervise and encourage individuals in a safe and supportive working environment. They will work alongside participants, demonstrating tasks, teaching the safe use of equipment and helping individuals develop confidence, independence and employability.
The role also requires the ability to work independently to complete gardening contracts to a professional standard. If you enjoy working outdoors, and thrive in a collaborative environment, this position is perfect for you!
Main Responsibilities
- Carry out grass cutting, strimming, hedge cutting, weeding and general grounds maintenance.
- Carry out daily machinery inspections, cleaning and basic maintenance.
- Ensure all work is completed to a high professional standard.
- Work independently when required to complete gardening contracts
- Support adults with additional support needs in a practical working environment.
- Demonstrate gardening techniques and safe working practices.
- Teach the correct and safe use of gardening machinery and hand tools.
- Encourage confidence, independence and personal development.
- Promote teamwork, communication and positive behaviour.
- Ensure dignity, respect and inclusion at all times.
Pay: £24,479.00 per year
