Kratos Security, operating in Dumfries and the surrounding areas, is seeking motivated and passionate qualified individuals to take on a variety of tasks. We offer flexible working hours, including both day and night shifts, available seven days a week. We value transparency, openness, and honesty, enabling us to accommodate your preferred hours as much as possible. Pay rates are based on loyalty, experience, and motivation: ranging from £14 to £15.50 per hour.
Duties
- Monitor and control access to the premises, verifying identification and authorizations of all visitors, staff, and contractors
- Conduct regular surveillance using CCTV systems to observe activity across key areas and identify any suspicious behaviour
- Implement loss prevention strategies by maintaining vigilance over high-value areas and preventing theft or vandalism
- Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies, coordinating with emergency services when necessary
- Perform routine inspections of the venue’s entrances, exits, and surrounding areas to ensure safety protocols are followed
- Maintain detailed records of daily activities, incidents, and surveillance footage logs for accountability and reporting purposes
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors with directions or inquiries while maintaining security procedures
Skills
- Strong surveillance skills with experience operating CCTV systems effectively
- Knowledge of loss prevention techniques to deter theft and reduce shrinkage
- Ability to remain alert and vigilant during extended periods of monitoring in a fast-paced environment
- First aid certification to respond confidently to minor injuries or medical emergencies
- Excellent communication skills for clear reporting and interaction with team members and visitors
- Understanding of security protocols, access control procedures, and emergency response plans
- Ability to handle stressful situations professionally while maintaining a positive attitude
