STRATHCARRON HOSPICE

Finance Manager

Full/Part Time

30 or 37.5 hours per week

(Hours will be 4 or 5 days between Monday and Friday)

Salary: Band 6, £41,668 - £50,775 per annum (pro-rata)

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager to play a central role in shaping and delivering an effective, forward‑thinking finance function for Strathcarron Hospice and its subsidiary trading companies.

The post holder will fully contribute to the management, development, and implementation of a comprehensive financial team, leading on budgeting, financial reporting, and driving efficiencies that support the organisation’s long‑term sustainability.

About You

You will bring strong financial expertise combined with a values-driven approach to your work, demonstrating integrity, professionalism, and compassion in all that you do.

· Professional or part‑qualified accounting qualification

· Experience working in finance, accounting, or bookkeeping

· Strong working knowledge of financial processes, accounting principles, and reporting systems

· Experience using and implementing financial reporting systems

· Excellent PC skills, especially Microsoft Office and financial reporting tools

· Ability to communicate financial information clearly to colleagues and managers

· Understanding of Gift Aid requirements

· Proven ability to manage your own workload and adapt to changing priorities

· Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment, both independently and as part of a team

· Experience supervising or line‑managing staff, with the ability to support, develop, and motivate others

· Flexible, proactive approach with a commitment to accountability, performance, and continuous improvement

The post is subject to a Level 2 check by Disclosure Scotland.
