Role Summary
We-Rental is seeking a confident, customer-focused Rental Service Agent (RSA). The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, capable of thinking on their feet, and comfortable managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience is desirable but not essential for candidates with the right attitude and skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality customer service before, during, and after rentals, ensuring a professional and positive customer experience at all times
- Process and book vehicle rentals accurately and efficiently
- Promote and sell optional extras and protection products based on customer needs
- Prepare rental agreements and related documentation in line with company policies, procedures, and Terms & Conditions
- Handle inbound telephone calls, emails, online bookings, and social media enquiries professionally and promptly
- Manage ongoing rental agreements, including processing extensions, amendments, and payments
- Carry out vehicle handovers and returns, explaining vehicle features and rental terms clearly to customers
- Inspect returned vehicles for damage, cleanliness, fuel levels, and overall condition
- Clean vehicles internally and externally to company presentation standards
- Conduct routine vehicle checks including fluid levels, tyre condition, and tyre pressures
- Arrange and coordinate vehicle deliveries and collections as required
- Maintain accurate records of rentals, vehicle availability, damages, and customer information
- Assist with fleet management tasks including vehicle movements, scheduling servicing, MOTs, and maintenance bookings
- Resolve customer queries, complaints, and issues in a professional and timely manner
- Support office administration duties including filing, reporting, and updating booking systems
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe office and forecourt environment
- Work flexibly as part of the team to support daily operational requirements
- Comply with company health & safety procedures, data protection requirements, and all relevant road traffic regulations
- Carry out any other reasonable duties appropriate to a customer-facing vehicle rental role as required by management
Qualifications & Skills
Essential:
- Administrative experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel
- Excellent phone etiquette
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Customer service experience
- Valid driver’s licence
- Fluent English
Desirable:
- Experience in direct sales
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge (e.g., fluids, tyres)
