A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Nurse to join the Clinical Investigation Unit at Ninewells Hospital as a Band 6 Charge Nurse. This role offers an excellent chance to develop and expand your leadership and advanced clinical skills, working closely alongside a trainee Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) and the Senior Charge Nurse to enhance and shape this evolving service.
The Clinical Investigation Unit plays a pivotal role in delivering highquality, patientcentred care, providing treatments and interventions that help prevent unnecessary hospital admissions and support patients across Tayside in receiving timely and effective therapies. The unit also works flexibly to support elective medicine during winter surge, opening 7 days a week for a limited period of time.
As a Band 6 Charge Nurse, you will:

Provide leadership within the nursing team and deputise for the Senior Charge Nurse as required.
- Support the coordination, delivery, and evaluation of safe, effective, evidencebased care.
- Work collaboratively with the SCN and trainee ANP to drive service development, quality improvement, and innovation within the CIU.

Act as a clinical role model, offering guidance, support, and supervision to junior staff and students

Contribute to workforce development, staff performance reviews, and the ongoing professional growth of the nursing team.

Lead and participate in change initiatives that enhance patient flow, clinical effectiveness, and the overall patient experience.
