We are a well-established and respected busy Family Law Firm located in the City centre of Dundee.
We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Legal Assistant to join our established Family Law Firm. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term legal career within a supportive Firm that values development, progression, and professional growth.

The Role
You will play a key role in supporting a busy and varied caseload.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the preparation of legal documents and correspondence.
- Managing client communications over telephone, email and face to face.
- Assisting with diary management such as organising appointments.
- Opening case files for private and Legal Aid clients.
- Dictation and audio typing and use of our Bighand and Law Ware software system.
- submitting applications for Legal Aid and supporting with preparing fees for private paying clients.
- Supporting compliance with confidentiality, data protection and professional standards.
- Working closely with the Director of Firm to ensure the smooth operation of client service and daily court commitments.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous office administration or legal assistant experience (family law experience desirable but not essential)
- Possesses excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail.
- Is proactive, professional, and client-focused.
- Can manage competing priorities effectively.
- Has a genuine interest in developing a career within family law which includes progression in this post to paralegal level.
- Is ambitious and eager to progress within a legal practice.
