We are seeking a skilled Shift Technician (Electrical) to deliver high-quality planned and reactive maintenance across a complex multi-building environment.
This role supports the ongoing operation of manufacturing, office and cleanroom facilities, ensuring building services, plant and equipment remain safe, compliant and fully operational.
Working Pattern:
- Monday - Friday
- Weeks 1 - 3: Early shifts - Mon–Thu 07:30 - 15:30; Fri 07:00 - 12:30
- Week 4: Late shifts - Mon - Fri 10:30 - 19:00
- Weekend: Once per month, either Saturday or Saturday/Sunday split
- Weekend overtime: 1.25x rate
Job Description
We are looking for an apprentice-trained electrical professional who enjoys working within a collaborative and long-established team.
The successful candidate will have a strong electrical maintenance background, whilst also being comfortable supporting HVAC, fabric maintenance and minor installation works within their competence.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities to the highest standards and within agreed service levels.
- Perform routine inspections, fault finding and repairs on electrical building services systems and associated plant.
- Support the maintenance of HVAC systems and associated equipment.
- Complete emergency lighting testing and maintenance duties, including participation in a weekend rota (approximately one week per month).
- Undertake minor electrical installations and small power works within competency levels.
- Assist with fabric maintenance tasks and minor refurbishment works as required.
- Coordinate and support specialist subcontractors working on site.
- Manage work orders effectively through the CAFM system, ensuring accurate records, notes and client communications are maintained.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
- Proven experience in electrical maintenance within a building services or facilities management environment.
- Apprentice trained Maintenance Electrician.
- Relevant City & Guilds electrical qualifications.
- 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations.
- Experience maintaining and repairing electrical machinery and building services systems.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to support HVAC and general building maintenance activities.The Company
