Head of Marketing & Sales

Montpeliers Group is behind some of Edinburgh’s best-known hospitality venues. For over twenty years, we’ve helped shape the city’s social scene with a portfolio that spans boutique hotel rooms, neighbourhood restaurants, local bars, and late-night spots.

Every venue in our group has its own distinct personality, loyal regulars, and a focus on great food, drink, and atmosphere. As we continue to evolve our brands and refresh our venues across Edinburgh, we’re looking for an experienced marketing leader to help guide what comes next.

The Opportunity

As Head of Marketing & Sales, you’ll work closely with the Managing Director to shape the marketing strategy and brand direction across the entire Montpeliers Group portfolio. The main focus is simple: build strong marketing strategies with a commercial mindset - crafting campaigns that look brilliant, build brand awareness, and directly drive covers, room bookings, and event sales.

You’ll lead our internal marketing and sales team while managing our agency partners across PR, digital, and social. It’s a hands-on, varied role for someone who loves hospitality, understands how to position lifestyle brands, and knows how to turn creative ideas into real commercial results.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy & Brand Direction

· Protect and develop the brand identity of each venue in the portfolio, keeping tone of voice, visual standards, and messaging consistent.

· Create and run annual marketing plans that raise brand profile, fill tables, and keep guests coming back.

· Plan and launch seasonal campaigns, brand collaborations, and venue events that keep our spots relevant and busy.

· Oversee all brand collateral and digital channels, from physical menus and in-venue signage to websites, email newsletters, and social media.

Commercial Focus & Sales Integration

· Ensure every marketing campaign has clear commercial goals, directly supporting cover numbers, hotel occupancy, private dining, and corporate bookings.

· Work alongside the sales team to build targeted initiatives that drive footfall during quieter times and boost group reservations.

· Manage relationships with PR agencies, digital partners, and local content creators to ensure we get great coverage and measurable return on investment.

· Track campaign performance and booking data to see what’s working, using those insights to continuously improve results.

Team Leadership & Operational Alignment

· Support and guide the marketing and sales team, keeping everyone aligned, motivated, and working efficiently.

· Work closely with General Managers and venue teams on the ground to make sure marketing ideas are easy to execute in real life.

About You

· You have a solid background leading marketing across multi-site hospitality, food and beverage, or lifestyle brands.

· You balance strong creative judgment with business sense - you know how to build a brand people care about while keeping an eye on sales and cover numbers.

· You understand modern digital marketing, PR, social media, and content, and you know how to tell a good story.

· You enjoy managing a team, collaborating with operational teams, and building good working relationships with external partners.
