About The Role

General Manager

Marshall TPS Exeter

Full-time | 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday

At Marshall TPS Exeter, we’re offering an exciting opportunity for a General Manager to join our leadership team. You’ll play a pivotal role in the success of our store, ensuring high performance, driving profitability, and fostering an outstanding colleague and customer culture.

In this role:

Provide leadership and direction to a team comprising a Sales Manager, Warehouse Operatives, Sales/Customer Service Reps and Drivers
Ensure the branch achieves optimum market penetration by maximising sales of parts to trade and retail outlets
Achieve the highest level of customer care and satisfaction for the branch at all times
Manage parts stock levels and keep debtors to a minimum
Ensure the accurate and timely completion of all department administration and operational data
Develop a marketing and publicity strategy to promote all products and services effectively
Brief the team regarding department objectives and give regular feedback on achievements
Develop and maintain a professional working relationships with representatives from VWG/TPS
Ensure the systematic recruitment, induction, and performance management of all department employees and aim to stabilise staff turnover by leading a motivated, productive and rewarded team

We're looking for:

To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced parts professional with leadership experience, from either a franchised dealership or a retail parts business. In addition to you experience, you will demonstrate the following skills:

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team
Someone who has a customer focused mindset, with the drive to achieve high CSI scores and build long-term loyalty.
Someone with good problem-solving skills and an analytical approach to data, forecasting and performance management.
Most importantly, a role model who lives and breathes our values.
