Our Story

SHU is a multi-award-winning restaurant that was founded in 2000. The restaurant has received many accolades over the years including Michelin recognition and winning the National Restaurant Awards Best Restaurant in Northern Ireland on three occasions.

The Job

As Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for helping to lead and drive the daily operations of SHU. You will help manage all three floors of the restaurant to ensure a smooth service and positive guest experience. You will oversee all team members and will be responsible for all leadership functions in the absence of the Restaurant Manager. A good knowledge of food and wine are essential to perfom the role to the level required.

Responsibilities for the role include:

Upholding the highest standards of hospitality and service
Lead team members
Manage all tasks on our daily checklist
Oversee inventory, quality and safety
Mentor, motivate and develop team members

Job requirements:

As Assistant Manager you must be self-motivated, positive, and possess a passion for fostering a great sense of teamwork and enjoy providing hospitality to our guests. We are seeking experienced professionals with a talent for leading and inspiring others. You must exhibit uncommonly high standards and be committed to the training and development of our team members.
