Full job description

Haylie House is a 23 bedded Residential Home providing excellent standards of care and support; through promoting independence and dignity and positively enhancing the lives of individuals in our care.

This is an ideal opportunity to join our team here at Haylie House in Largs, a vibrant residential care home with an excellent reputation for the quality of care we provide for our residents.

Please note we are unable to provide sponsorship placements.

Previous applicants will not be considered.

Hours and rate of pay

· 24 hours per week - contracted hours are worked on a 3 week rolling rota over 7 days

· £13.56 per hour

Essential Experience / Criteria

A Carer will be:

A motivated and caring individual.
Able to maintain accurate written records of residents’ daily activities.
Able to communicate effectively with other members of the staff team, residents and their relatives
Working towards an SVQ 3 in Health and Social Care
Have a legal right to work in the UK

Experience supporting older people, including those living with dementia, is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.

Key Responsibilities:

Promote a homely, therapeutic environment, which encourages independence and meets the needs of each individual.
Safeguard the residents at all times.
Assist and support residents with all identified care need in line with the Health & Social Care Standards.
Be a Key Worker for selected residents through being involved with care plan reviews with Senior Staff and family members.
Promote mental and physical wellbeing of residents through engaging and interactive activities.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: £13.56 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

Largs KA30 8EX: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
