Full job description

You'll own a multi-million pound Meta budget with nothing between your decisions and the results, no committee, no agency, no layers. Just revenue that's down to you and the in-house creative team you'll work with daily to iterate through creatives and ads, with significant milestone bonuses when that revenue grows.

Location: Brighton (in-office, full-time on site, not remote or hybrid)

Contract: Full-time, permanent

Reporting to: Founder

The Role

This is a hands-on, execution-led role for someone who lives inside Meta Ads Manager, knows exactly why an account is winning or losing, and can move fast to fix it. You'll take full ownership of Wellgard's Meta account, structure, targeting, budget deployment, creative testing and optimisation, working closely with our in-house content and creative team to keep testing velocity high.

This is an individual contributor role with a dedicated ad budget that scales as you prove you can handle it. There's no media buying team above or below you, you're the specialist the Founder trusts because you know the account better than anyone.

Your Impact

Own Wellgard's Meta account end to end: campaign structure (CBO vs ABO), Advantage+ Shopping Campaigns, audience strategy, budget pacing and bid strategy.
Diagnose problems fast and fix them before they cost revenue: learning phase resets, audience overlap and saturation, creative fatigue, broken pixel or CAPI events, and attribution gaps between Meta's reporting and Shopify or GA4.
Own server-side tracking through Conversions API, event match quality and signal integrity, so optimisation decisions stay reliable in a post-iOS14.5 environment.
Run structured, hypothesis-led creative testing across hooks, angles, formats and UGC vs studio content, briefing the in-house creative team directly rather than waiting on an agency queue.
Balance prospecting and retargeting spend as the account scales, and work out where Meta sits within Wellgard's wider funnel across Shopify, Amazon and TikTok Shop.
Turn platform and attribution data into a clear read for the Founder: what's actually driving revenue versus what Meta's reporting is claiming credit for.
Manage a dedicated ad budget that scales with performance, more spend gets released as you prove out returns without pushing past efficient scaling limits.
Use AI tools daily to speed up analysis, ad copy and creative briefs, and reporting.

What We're Looking For

Experience

Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience running Meta Ads campaigns yourself, not managing a team who runs them.
A proven track record scaling Meta ad spend into multi-million pound revenue outcomes, ideally for a DTC or ecommerce brand.
Comfortable operating at a multi-million pound annual ad budget, with room to scale further as you prove out returns.

Skills

Deep, current fluency in Meta Ads Manager: Advantage+ Shopping Campaigns, CBO vs ABO account structures, Conversions API setup and event match quality, and how Meta's attribution models actually work.
Hands-on experience scaling accounts through real constraints: learning phase resets, audience saturation, and post-iOS14.5 signal loss, not just running ads in an easy-tracking environment.
Strong grasp of ecommerce metrics: ROAS (blended and platform-reported), CAC, AOV, LTV and contribution margin, and the judgement to know when Meta's numbers and Shopify or GA4 numbers disagree, and why.
Experience running structured creative testing programmes: hook, angle and format testing, UGC vs studio creative, iterating on signal rather than gut feel.
Comfortable with catalog and dynamic product ads for ecommerce, and how they interact with retargeting and prospecting.
Excellent communication skills, able to translate account data into decisions for a Founder who isn't a platform specialist.
Comfortable working solo as the account owner, with full accountability and no one to defer to on Meta specifically.

Bonus points

TikTok Ads or Google Ads experience.
Brand-side experience, not just agency-side.
Experience briefing and collaborating directly with in-house creative teams.
Wellness, beauty or consumer health category experience.

Why This Role Matters

Wellgard's Meta growth right now doesn't have a single owner. Whoever takes this role gets a direct lever on revenue, with a real, scaling budget rather than one capped by committee approval or agency overhead.

You'd run the account with direct access to the Founder and a creative team briefed to move at your speed, not the other way around. Decisions on budget, testing and creative get made fast, because there's no layer between the data you're seeing and the calls you get to make. And because the revenue you drive is directly attributable to you, hitting agreed growth milestones unlocks its own bonus, not a flat number that ignores how much you actually moved the needle.

Compensation & Benefits

£50,000-£65,000 depending on experience, plus discretionary annual bonus.
