Overview

Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing ingredients and components for various dishes, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Cook and assemble meals according to established recipes and standards, maintaining high levels of food safety and hygiene.
- Support the head chef in managing daily kitchen operations, including mise en place and stock control.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent service and optimise kitchen efficiency.
- Assist with meal presentation, garnishing, and plating to meet aesthetic standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar culinary role within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices.
- Previous experience in meal preparation and kitchen operations is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with restaurant service procedures and serving protocols.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
