Client Description:
Xyla have available capacity to help support our client, one of the largest integrated care providers in England, within our community Echocardiography service.
The availability here is for full-time, Monday-Friday work, however you are welcome to work with us, either on a full-time basis, part-time alongside existing work or even on an ad-hoc basis to support this service.
The Department work to 45-minute patient appointment slots, using GE echo machines and EchoPac as their reporting system. Ideally, applicants will be familiar with this system, however a full induction will be given as part of your first shift.
Job Purpose:
- To be a key member of Xyla echocardiography team.
- This is a patient facing role.
- Xyla manages a portfolio of contracts across the UK by providing specialist high-quality echocardiography services.
- Locations will always be agreed with you before clinics are planned.
- Being at the forefront of Xyla Services clinical service provision, you are motivated and enthusiastic in the field of echocardiography and enjoy the idea of working for a private service provider.
- You will always collaboratively work with our customers & the Xyla Team to ensure that service needs are met and that patients are put at the heart of everything we do.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Carry out TTE investigations unsupervised, seeking advice from senior members of the clinical care team or the local customer when appropriate
- Demonstrate proficiency and skill in echocardiographic techniques
- Take a proactive approach to minimising clinical risk to patients undergoing echo studies, and support Xyla and our customers in the investigation and management of any related clinical incidents
- Maintain all equipment, systems and facilities used to the necessary high standards as required
- Be familiar, competent and confident on patient administration systems, reporting systems, modalities and PACS systems
To thrive in this role you must have:
- BSc in Clinical Physiology (or equivalent)
- BSE or EACVI Adult Accreditation preferred – equivalent accreditations can be considered
- 2 years of clinical experience post accreditation
- Strong written and communication skills
