Darlington Libraries are seeking a highly organised and forward-thinking Library Operations Manager to lead frontline service delivery across Darlington and Cockerton Libraries, including outreach services.
Working closely with the Library Manager, you will drive excellent customer service, lead and support staff, and play a key role in delivering the Library Plan. You will oversee premises management working closely with the Council’s Corporate Landlord team to ensure safe, welcoming and well-maintained environments for both customers and staff. You will also help shape our engagement-led approach and drive digital initiatives.
You will have strong operational experience within a similar public-facing service, excellent people skills, and will be technically minded in order to understand and use library management systems.
This is a customer-facing role suited to someone passionate about working with the public and delivering high-quality, inclusive services.
