We are currently seeking a Quarry Supervisor to join the team.

The primary duty for this role will be to support the Quarry Manager with the safe and efficient management and operation of the Quarry.

You will support the management of production and extraction activities, troubleshooting technical problems and overseeing planning of day-to-day operations in conjunction with other departments across site.

Key Responsibilities

Safety will comprise a key element of the role. You will also be required to conduct risk assessments and health and safety inspections and to demonstrate leadership in safety.

An important element of the role will involve administrative duties, from writing reports and updating records to procurement and budget control.

An ability to plan and organise work in a time efficient fashion is critical.

The ideal candidate will have background in the extractive industry, be familiar with the extractive process with a strong focus on safety and interpersonal skills.

Problem Analysis - Ability in pro-actively identifying problems, seeking pertinent data, recognising important information, and identifying possible causes of problems

Compliance - Adherence to company policy and/or procedures. Seeks approval from the correct authority for changes.

Interpersonal Skills -Awareness of other people and environment and own impact on these. Actions indicate a consideration for the feelings and needs of others

Detail Handling - Tolerance for and ability to handle the details and paperwork associated with the job.

Planning and Organising - Ability to establish efficiently an appropriate course of action for self and/or others to achieve a goal.
