Full job description

Our Caledonia North team is looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join their team on a full time, term time only, permanent basis. We’re seeking a compassionate and proactive Teaching Assistant (or similar) with experience supporting children aged 7+, or transferable life experience and a genuine passion for making a difference.

About You

To be considered for this position you must have:

Recent experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or in a similar role, or bring relevant life experience with a genuine passion for supporting children aged 7+
Be confident supporting a pupil with additional needs, including providing personal care as required, delivered with dignity, respect, and sensitivity
Have knowledge of, or a willingness to learn, the National Curriculum and approaches to supporting pupils with additional needs
Have experience working with children or young people in an educational or care setting, or transferable experience demonstrating the relevant skill set
Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
Uphold high standards of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality at all times
Be proactive in maintaining and promoting high standards across all aspects of the role
