Part-Time Veterinary Nurse – Middlesbrough

Vets Now is the UK’s leading provider of emergency pet care, serving over 1700 veterinary practices through 60 plus dedicated out-of-hours clinics and two 24/7 pet emergency hospitals.

Understanding your key role

Our nursing team are at the core of clinical treatment including triage, surgery, anaesthesia, and in-patient care. Key responsibilities will include:

First Aid – give appropriate advice over the phone and perform in clinic.
Critical Care – management and monitoring of major body systems, monitoring of in-patient trends and identifying changes quickly, physiotherapy, pain assessment, wound and dressing care.
Diagnostics – confident to perform basic diagnostic procedures in a sole charge capacity.

Key requirements

RCVS registered for a minimum of six months.
Motivated to maintain high clinic standards.
Passionate about caring for our clients and their pets.
Experience with an ECC caseload is advantageous.

Working pattern:

Week 1: Wednesday and Thursday 19:00-09:00

Week 2: Friday 19:00-09:00, Saturday and Sunday 19:00-09:00

Week 3: Wednesday 19:00-09:00 and Thursday and Friday 19:00-01:00

Week 4: Monday 19:00-09:00, Saturday 12:00-19:30 and Sunday 08:30-19:30
