Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Auction Jewellery Valuer with this exciting opportunity to join our team of specialist valuers and help to run our hugely successful Jewellery, Watches & Accessories auctions, contributing to our reputation for offering sought-after lots to collectors and investors worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed valuations of jewellery, watches and accessories for auction sales and probate clients
- Provide expert advice to clients regarding jewellery valuations and market trends
- Regular valuation days and community talks/presentations
- Collaborate with the auction team to prepare lots for sale
- Maintain accurate records of valuations and client interactions
- Take to the rostrum for auctioneering duties and support online bidding processes
- Assist in developing new strategies to attract desirable lots
- Qualifications
- GemA Gemmology Diploma required
- Diamond grading or Diamond Diploma desirable
- Experience in an auction environment is very desirable with the proven ability to consign lots for sale
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Proficiency with IT tools
- Organizational skills to manage multiple valuations efficiently
- Valid driving license required for client visits or valuations at different locations
- Knowledge of current market trends in the jewellery, watch and auction market
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
