Health Care Assistant or Phlebotomist (Part-Time – 20 Hours, Hours Negotiable)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and patient-centred HCA or Phlebotomist to join our friendly and supportive team in rural North Yorkshire. We welcome applications for either role.
You'll work closely with our GPs, nurses and wider team, providing direct patient contact that plays a real part in keeping our patients well. You will be well supported and supervised by our clinical and management teams.
About the Role
Your role will include:
- Supporting patients with routine clinical tasks such as venepuncture, blood pressure checks and other basic procedures.
- Assisting with health promotion and supporting patients to manage their physical and mental wellbeing.
- Chaperoning patients during clinical examinations when needed.
- Keeping consulting rooms stocked, tidy and ready for use.
- Monitoring and ordering clinical stock, including stock rotation.
- Supporting delivery of chronic disease management and the Quality & Outcomes Framework (QOF).
- Maintaining accurate, timely records using SystmOne.
- Following infection control, health and safety, safeguarding and other practice policies.

About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Phlebotomy role: Is competent in venepuncture and willing to learn additional tasks.
- HCA role: Is competent in venepuncture, blood pressure measurement and other basic clinical tasks, as well as being willing to learn additional tasks.
- Has experience and understanding of confidentiality, safeguarding and data protection in an NHS setting.
- Holds appropriate training for the role applied for.
Experience across a range of conditions and age groups is desirable but not essential – full training and support will be given.
