Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Window Fitter to join our glazing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, replacing, and repairing windows in a variety of residential and commercial properties. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and efficiently on-site. The position offers an opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic and professional environment.

Duties

Measure and mark window openings accurately to ensure proper fitment.
Remove old windows and prepare openings for new installations.
Fit, secure, and seal windows using appropriate tools and techniques.
Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and building standards.
Assist with related tasks such as minor carpentry, sealing, or finishing work as required.
Maintain a clean and organised work area throughout the project duration.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects within designated timeframes.

Requirements

Proven experience in glazing and fitting windows.
Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in window installation.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
Good physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy materials safely.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various weather conditions.
Relevant construction qualifications or certifications are preferred but not mandatory. This role offers a rewarding career path for those passionate about construction and craftsmanship, with opportunities for further development within the industry.

Pay: £35,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
