We are seeking a confident and creative Videographer / Photographer to join AMW Media on a part-time, employed basis. AMW Media is a digital marketing and content production agency based in Banbury, working with businesses across the UK, including clients in London, Bristol, Peterborough, High Wycombe, Banbury, and the wider Midlands.
This is a shooting-only role focused on capturing high-quality video and photography content for social media, promotional campaigns, and events. All editing and post-production are handled by our in-house team, allowing the successful candidate to focus entirely on filming, photography, client direction, and production quality while on location. All equipment provided, candidate does not need to have their own equipment. Knowledge of operating mirrorless cameras required.
The role will initially provide a minimum of 8-10 working days per month +occasional event days, with a genuine opportunity to develop into a full-time position as the agency and client base continue to grow.
Duties
- Capture engaging video and photography content for businesses, brands, and events across a range of locations.
- Film short-form and vertical content designed for platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
- Capture wider-format event footage when required, ensuring important moments, speakers, guests, and venue details are covered properly.
- Direct clients and team members on camera, helping them feel comfortable, confident, and natural during shoots.
- Work from briefs, shot lists, scripts, and creative concepts provided by the AMW Media team.
- Set up and operate cameras, lighting, microphones, and other production equipment supplied by the company.
- Ensure footage and photographs are captured to a high technical and creative standard.
- Manage time effectively while travelling between locations and completing scheduled shoots.
- Transfer and organise captured footage and files for the in-house editing team.
- Communicate clearly with clients and represent AMW Media professionally while on location.
- Stay up to date with current social media content styles, filming techniques, and platform trends.
Skills
- Proven experience in videography and photography, ideally creating content for businesses, brands, social media, or events.
- A strong understanding of composition, lighting, camera settings, audio recording, and visual storytelling.
- Experience filming both vertical short-form content and wider-format event footage.
- Confidence directing clients and people who may not be comfortable speaking on camera.
- Outgoing, charismatic, and professional, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently on location while following briefs, shot lists, and production schedules.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple shoots and locations.
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable travelling regularly for client work.
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own car are essential.
- Applicants should be based in or near Banbury, Oxfordshire or High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, or within a reasonable travelling distance.
- No editing or post-production skills are required, as all editing is completed by our in-house team.
Equipment Provided
- All cameras, lighting, audio equipment, and production gear required for shoots will be supplied by AMW Media. (access to professional grade video equipment, lights, drones etc)
- Business insurance and equipment insurance are also provided.
- The successful candidate will only need to provide their own car and be available to travel to client locations.
Pay and Benefits
- £15 per hour, including travel time to and from shoots.
- 55p per mile for all travel to client shoots and filming locations.
