Shogun Practical Karate delivers high-energy before and after school sports programmes while developing confidence, discipline and life skills in young people. We are now growing and looking for a enthusiastic individual to join our team. Some martial arts experience is required but a black belt is not necessary – full training is provided.
Role Overview
This is a part-time role coaching classes but could lead to more.
1. Coaching (Core Hours)
- Deliver fun, structured before and after school karate clubs (ages 5–11)
- Lead simple class formats after training and shadowing
- Build confidence, teamwork and discipline in children
- Represent the club’s values in local primary schools
Working Hours
- 2-3 hours a week to begin with - with scope to increase
- You will cover 2 classes per week between these days and hours: Monday & Wednesday 3.45-4.45pm approx.

Ideal Candidate
This role would suit someone with a background in martial arts and interest in sport, fitness, coaching, and childcare. You should be:
- Confident speaking with people
- Reliable and punctual (schools depend on us)
- Great at building rapport with parents and children
- Organised, positive and energetic
Essential Requirements
Candidates must:
- Hold a full UK driving licence and have their own car
- Live within 20 minutes of the Harrow area
- Be confident using phone, WhatsApp and email
- Have the right to work in the UK
- Be able to commit to afternoon school session times
Pay: £25.00-£30.00 per hour
