Are you an experienced Joinery Draughtsman with advanced Autodesk Inventor skills? James Wellesley Ltd, a leading high-end bespoke joinery company, is seeking a talented and detail-oriented CAD professional to join our workshop team in Kent.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Design & Draughting, you will play a key role in turning exceptional design concepts into precise, manufacturable reality. Your responsibilities will include:

Producing highly detailed technical construction drawings and workshop manufacturing drawings using Autodesk Inventor.
Converting design briefs, sketches, and concepts into accurate 3D models and 2D production drawings.
Creating comprehensive Bills of Materials (BOMs), cutting lists, and material purchase schedules.
Integrating third-party elements including ironmongery, appliances, hardware, glass, and metalwork.
Managing drawing revisions and version control through all project stages — from client approval to manufacturing and installation.
Ensuring all drawings comply with health & safety, installation, and quality standards.
Collaborating closely with Project Managers, workshop teams, and external designers/clients.
Attending site visits and design meetings as required.

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

Proven experience as a Joinery Draughtsman or Furniture Draughtsman in a bespoke or high-end joinery environment.
Advanced, daily-user proficiency in Autodesk Inventor (essential).
Strong knowledge of joinery construction methods, materials (timber, veneers, laminates, solid surfaces, metals, glass), and finishing techniques.
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate, manufacturing-ready drawings.
Good communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams and clients.

Desirable:

Experience with SolidWorks or other 3D CAD systems (with willingness to transition fully to Inventor).
