Trainee Credit Underwriter - Graduate
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time (Monday-Friday 8.45am to 5.15pm).
Salary: £27k to £30k per annum, dependent on experience

You will receive comprehensive, structured training from our experienced risk team, gaining hands-on experience in assessing business credit, understanding financial information, and valuing assets.

Key Responsibilities
· Develop financial analysis skills: Learn to read and interpret corporate balance sheets, profit & loss accounts, and bank statements
· Assess credit risk: Support the evaluation of businesses to determine their suitability for finance
· Evaluate hard assets: Build an understanding of how assets retain value over the finance term
· Run credit searches: Use commercial credit bureaus under supervision to gather key business insights
· Support deal structuring: Assist in preparing hire purchase and finance lease agreements
· Collaborate internally: Work closely with colleagues across credit, sales teams, and broker channels
· Continuous learning: Actively engage with training and development to build technical underwriting knowledge
