HR Operations Coordinator

As we deliver our ambitious 2030 Growth Strategy, we’re looking for an HR Operations Coordinator to support the smooth and accurate delivery of key HR operational processes. This role will coordinate activity across HR Administration, the in-house Payroll Coordinator and the managed payroll service provider.
The role acts as a central point of operational control, ensuring that employee lifecycle changes and payroll inputs are accurate, timely, and effectively managed across internal and external stakeholders.
Who We’re Looking For:

Experience in HR operations, payroll coordination, or a shared services environment.

Understanding of payroll processes, controls, and the impact of HR changes on employee pay.

Familiarity with HR and payroll systems, data reconciliation, and reporting processes.

Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas, trackers, and data analysis tools.

Strong organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.

Excellent attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and process compliance.

Confident communicator with strong problem-solving and issue-resolution skills.

A proactive, collaborative approach, with a structured way of working and a focus on continuous improvement.

Calm, reliable, and accountable, with the ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
What You’ll Be Doing:

Coordinate HR and payroll activities, ensuring employee changes are accurately processed and submitted on time.

Act as a key link between the HR Administrators, the Payroll Coordinator, and the external payroll provider.

Monitor payroll timelines, track activity, and help resolve issues to ensure smooth payroll delivery.

Support HR administration processes and maintain accurate records relating to employee lifecycle changes.

Carry out data checks and reconciliations to ensure accuracy, compliance, and audit readiness.

Assist with payroll governance activities, including validating information and supporting process controls.

Build strong working relationships with HR, Finance, and external partners to deliver an efficient service.

Support continuous improvement initiatives, including HR systems implementation and process optimisation.

Provide a professional and customer-focused service when responding to employee and manager queries.
