Full job description

Location: Hillcrest Nurseries, Stanton, Suffolk
Pay: £12.21 - £12.50 per hour (depending on experience)
Hours: Minimum 24 hours per week
Shifts: 8:00am/9.00am/10.00 to 3:00pm (depending on rota)
Weekend Working: Every other weekend (This may move to 1 in 3 in the future)

We're looking for a friendly, hardworking and enthusiastic Coffee Shop Assistant to join our busy coffee shop at Hillcrest Nurseries.

This is a varied role where you'll work across both the kitchen and front of house, helping us provide excellent food and outstanding customer service. If you enjoy working with people, thrive in a busy environment and love being part of a team, we'd love to hear from you.

About the Role

Your duties will include:

Preparing ingredients for breakfast and lunch service
Plating and presenting food to a high standard
Taking customer orders
Serving food and drinks
Waitressing and clearing tables
Helping to keep the kitchen and coffee shop clean, organised and well stocked
Washing up and supporting the team wherever needed
Delivering excellent customer service with a friendly and professional attitude

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who:

Has a positive and friendly personality
Enjoys working as part of a team
Is reliable, hardworking and takes pride in their work
Can remain calm and organised during busy service periods
Has great customer service skills
Previous café, restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided

What We Offer

Minimum 30 hours per week
Daytime shifts only 8:00am/9.00am/10.00 to 3:00pm (depending on rota)
Every other weekend working
No evening shifts
