Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude for plant and agricultural machinery. This role requires hands-on experience with various tools and the ability to work effectively in a team environment and on your own. The Fitter will be responsible for fault finding, diagnostics, servicing, repairs and maintaining components in accordance with specifications.
Responsibilities
- Operate power tools and machinery safely to perform tasks efficiently.
- Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition, ensuring a clean and organised workspace.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions promptly.
- Operate forklifts for the movement of materials when needed.
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in fitting or a similar role.
- Experience with welding and fabrication techniques is desirable.
- Experience with hydraulic hoses preferred.
- Experience with crushers and screeners desirable but not essential.
- Familiarity with power tools and their safe operation is essential.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively within a team environment.
- A proactive approach to maintaining safety standards on-site.
- Experience with thorough examinations and LOLER examinations
-Full UK driving license essential. C1 License desirable
