Impact Mentoring is seeking a committed Tutor to support learners at Key Stage 3 and above in our alternative provision setting. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference through tailored learning, mentoring and encouragement.
About Impact Mentoring
We provide individualised support for young people in Gloucester and the local area who benefit from a more personalised approach. Our work is rooted in calm relationships, high expectations, wellbeing and pastoral care.
We help learners build confidence, routine and the skills they need for their next steps, within a caring and collaborative environment.
The Role
Contract: Flexi, term time contract
Pattern: Full time or part time
As a Tutor, you will provide tailored support to help learners make academic and personal progress. You will deliver engaging Functional Skills or similar, pre planned sessions and adapt learning to meet individual needs with the support of our lead team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting learners to build confidence, routine and achievement
- Delivering Functional Skills and pre-planned courses
- Building positive, respectful relationships with young people
- Working collaboratively to meet educational and pastoral needs
- Adapting your approach to suit different learners
- Encouraging resilience, engagement and progress
The Person
We are looking for someone warm, professional and committed to helping young people thrive. Experience in education, tutoring, mentoring or a similar role would be helpful, but a willingness to learn is equally important.
We are looking for:
- A positive, flexible approach to working with learners at Key Stage 3 and above
- Confidence in building strong relationships
- A collaborative mindset and team spirit
- Teaching experience, desirable but not essential
- A clean driving licence and access to a car
