Head Dental Nurse / Treatment Coordinator / Reception Join Our Specialist Dental Team

We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and highly professional Head Dental Nurse / Treatment Coordinator / Receptionist to join our friendly team of dental specialists. This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional candidate with strong leadership skills, extensive clinical experience, excellent front-of-house and reception experience, and a passion for delivering outstanding patient care.

The successful candidate will play a key role in leading our nursing team, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the clinical environment, coordinating patients throughout their treatment journey, and supporting the reception team to deliver an outstanding patient experience.

Essential Requirements

Minimum of 5 years' experience working as a qualified Dental Nurse.
Current GDC registration (essential).
Previous experience in a Head Dental Nurse or Senior Dental Nursing role.
Proven experience working as a Treatment Coordinator (TCO).
Previous experience working in a dental reception role, with confidence managing patient enquiries, appointments, treatment bookings, and diary coordination.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centred approach.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work proactively, manage multiple responsibilities, and lead by example.
Confident using dental software and digital practice management systems.
Professional, reliable, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of patient care.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, support, and mentor the dental nursing team.
Oversee the day-to-day clinical operations, ensuring surgeries are fully prepared, compliant, and running efficiently.
Maintain CQC and cross-infection control standards.
Coordinate patient consultations and treatment plans.
Present treatment options and support patients throughout their treatment journey.
Liaise effectively with clinicians, specialists, nurses, reception staff, and patients to ensure seamless patient care.
Support the reception team when required, including answering calls, responding to patient enquiries, booking appointments, coordinating clinician diaries, processing payments, and providing a welcoming front-of-house experience.
Assist clinicians chairside when required.
Ensure effective stock management, equipment maintenance, and smooth workflow throughout the practice.
Help maintain exceptional customer service standards across both the clinical and reception teams.
