Health Care Assistant Nights

Permanent

Shift Times: 21:00 – 07.30am

based on rotating shift pattern 35 hours per week, then 40 hours per week (70 hours over fortnight)

£14ph - £14.50ph after 6 months

Elder Homes is a medium business in Health Care in Edinburgh. We are professional, inclusive, engaging, and our goal is to provide a wonderful nursing and care home for our residents, in an environment that has built great staff teams and supports its workers.

We are looking for a Healthcare Assistant to join our team and provide excellent care to our residents. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with residents care, helping to maintain a clean and safe environment, and providing administrative support. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to make a difference in the lives of our residents.

Responsibilities:

Provide support to medical staff.
Assist with residents care and comfort.
Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and filing paperwork.
Maintain residents records and ensure accuracy of information.
Assist with medical procedures as directed by medical staff.
Observe residents condition and report any changes to medical staff.
Provide emotional support to patients and their families.

Candidate Requirements:

You must be able to demonstrate excellent communication and team working skills, together with the ability to take a flexible approach to your work.

Fluent English language skills are required.

Successful applicants will be subject to a PVG check and satisfactory references.
