The Scottish FA is looking for a Coach Education and Development Manager on a fixed-term basis until June 2028 to join our team, supporting the delivery of an innovative coach education programme embedded within degree courses at Edinburgh Napier University.
In this role you will play a key role in coordinating and delivering high-quality coach education aligned with both university and Scottish FA objectives, supporting the holistic development of student coaches, and contributing to the creation of a skilled, progressive and diverse coaching workforce.
Working collaboratively with university partners and internal colleagues, you will lead course delivery, support research and development initiatives, provide meaningful feedback to learners, and help shape and improve programmes through benchmarking and best practice.
We welcome applications from individuals with experience in coach education delivery, working with learners or student groups, and collaborating across a range of stakeholders, who bring strong communication, leadership and organisational skills.
With a Scottish FA/UEFA Elite Youth A Licence and ideally experience of delivery in further education settings, you will have a commitment to continuous improvement, and a passion for developing people.

Lead and deliver high-quality coach education within ENU degree programmes, aligning with Scottish FA and UEFA standards.
- Collaborate with ENU staff to ensure compliance, enhance delivery, and strengthen programme partnerships.
- Support student development through effective feedback, record-keeping, and tailored work placement opportunities.
- Drive recruitment, promotion, and positive representation of coach education pathways.
- Contribute to research, innovation, and continuous improvement across joint ENU–Scottish FA initiatives.
- Support the design, delivery, and evolution of Scottish FA coach education programmes and resources.
- Benchmark best practice nationally and internationally to enhance programme quality and reputation.
- Ensure full compliance with safeguarding, wellbeing, and health & safety standards.
- Provide flexible support across wider coach education and football development activities as required.
