Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Dumper/Roller Driver to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating heavy machinery to facilitate various construction projects, ensuring safety and efficiency on-site. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in commercial driving and mechanical knowledge to contribute to large-scale infrastructure developments.

Duties

Operate dumpers and rollers safely and efficiently across different construction sites.
Assist with the transportation and distribution of materials using appropriate machinery.
Conduct routine inspections of equipment to identify maintenance needs or potential faults.
Support the operation of excavators when required, ensuring smooth coordination between machines.
Follow all safety protocols and site regulations during daily operations.
Maintain accurate records of work performed and equipment used throughout shifts.
Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to meet project deadlines.

Requirements

Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly operating dumpers, rollers, or similar machinery.
Mechanical knowledge to perform basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance checks.
Experience with excavators is desirable but not essential; training can be provided.
Valid driving licence suitable for heavy machinery operation.
Strong commitment to safety standards and procedures on construction sites.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift heavy loads when necessary.
Good organisational skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately. This role is vital for maintaining productivity and safety on-site, offering a rewarding career path for those with relevant skills and experience in heavy machinery operation within the construction industry.

Pay: £19.00-£20.00 per hour
