Job Title: Risk and Compliance Assistant

Hours of Work: 09.00 - 17.15 - Monday to Friday (36.25 per week)

Salary: Depending on Experience

Location: Newark

The Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Risk and Compliance Assistant to join our Risk and Compliance Team, based at our Newark office.

The successful candidate will demonstrate experience in an administrative role, with excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work accurately and thoroughly in a fast‑paced environment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

General compliance administration and tasks.
Completing file opening tasks.
Completing the AML E-ID checks so the company is compliant with the anti-money laundering regulations. Checking outstanding ID and liaising with Fee Earners to improve compliance.
Keeping inboxes up to date and accurate.
Maintaining detailed logs with evidence.
Organising training and maintaining records.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Educated to GCSE/A level standard

Desirable

Relevant experience within Legal or Financial Services

Knowledge

Essential

IT literate/ability to use online systems efficiently

Desirable

Previous experience with Microsoft packages
