Rydal Hall is a unique venue that is open to all regardless of faith and background, we welcome guests and visitors to all that we offer. We have a Hall with 30 bedrooms the majority of which are ensuite, various meeting rooms and quiet spaces and a bar to unwind in, listed well preserved gardens, camping site with an unspoiled back to nature feel, Glamping, Self-catering cottages, a bunkhouse which sleeps 28 with great facilities for those groups who want to cater for themselves. The Tea Rooms which is open all year and often a stopping point for those who have come to visit Rydal or are passing through on the many walks. So, all in all it is a unique platform for us to engage with our visitors and guests to transform and raise a sense of conscious and awareness of Rydal.
Main Responsibilities
To provide a warm welcome to all visitors. Serving customers, preparing drinks and food items, clearing tables, washing up and maintaining a professional and efficient operation.
In line with regulations and Rydal Hall’s health and safety policies to be responsible for cleanliness, hygiene and health and safety in the Café including relevant record keeping and cashing up.
Always ensure that good communication between Team Members and other departments is maintained.
Duties will include:
· Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks.
· Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café area, including equipment, utensils, and work surfaces.
· Provide excellent customer service by taking orders accurately and efficiently, while also helping customers with their selections.
· Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality.
· Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of sales.
· Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations throughout the shift.
· Knowledge of food, food hygiene and food preparation
· To be able to work efficiently and tidily
· An ability to prepare and display food to a high standard
· The ability to think quickly, work under pressure and stay calm.
· To be able to work on own initiative
· Operate coffee machines and other equipment safely and efficiently.
· Keep track of inventory levels and assist in restocking supplies as needed.
· Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and enhance customer experience.

- Previous Café experience, with high levels of customer interaction
