About Beech Avenue:
Beech Avenue is a warm, welcoming residential home in Egremont, where you'll support five incredible women with learning disabilities and complex needs to live happy, fulfilling and independent lives.
Every person we support has their own personality, interests and aspirations, so no two days are ever the same.
Our friendly and experienced team is passionate about delivering outstanding, person-centred support, creating an environment where people are encouraged to make their own choices, build confidence and enjoy the best possible quality of life.
The women who live at Beech Avenue have a range of support needs. Three use wheelchairs, one person is registered blind, and everyone has health needs associated with their learning disabilities.
Some people have limited verbal communication and use alternative ways to express themselves, so patience, empathy and a willingness to communicate in different ways are all important.
As a Support Worker, you'll help people with all aspects of daily life, including personal care, moving and handling, medication, household tasks and accessing the local community.
Whether you're supporting someone to enjoy a favourite activity, achieve a personal goal or simply have a great day, you'll be making a real difference every single shift.
We're looking for caring, positive people who genuinely enjoy helping others.
Previous experience in care is welcome, but it isn't essential. If you bring compassion, a willingness to learn and a positive attitude, we'll provide all the training and support you need to succeed, including specialist training tailored to the people who live at Beech Avenue.
This role could be perfect if you've worked in customer service, hospitality, childcare, education, retail or volunteering, or if you're simply looking for a career where you can make a lasting impact on people's lives.
What You'll Need:

- A full UK manual driving licence is preferred, as supporting people to access the community is an important part of the role.

Please note: This is a female-only position. This is a genuine occupational requirement under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010 due to the personal care needs of the people we support.
Salary: £13.45 per hour
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
