Casual Leisure Assistant – Mildenhall Hub – National Minimum Wage

As a Leisure Assistant, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and enjoyment of our members and customers. From lifeguarding our pools to maintaining cleanliness standards and assisting with equipment setup, you'll deliver exceptional customer service every day!

Key Responsibilities:

· Lifeguarding duties, including monitoring pool safety and responding to emergencies.

· Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the facility.

· Assisting with equipment setup and breakdown for various activities.

· Providing excellent customer service to enhance the overall experience for our guests.

Requirements:

· Responsible individual with a passion for working in leisure, health, and well-being.

· Prior experience is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided.

· Strong commitment to safety and the well-being of others.

· Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications:

· National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) is required.

Candidates without an NPLQ will have the opportunity to undergo full training after a successful swim test and interview.

Closing Date: 21st August 2026

Interviews will take place onsite on 27th August 2026

Pay: £10.85-£12.71 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

Mildenhall, Suffolk: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Application question(s):

Do you hold a valid NPLQ?
If you do not hold a valid NPLQ can you:

1) Jump or dive into deep water
2) Swim 100m continuously on your front and back
3) Swim 50 metres in under 60 seconds
4) Tread water for at least 30 seconds
5) from the surface of the pool, dive to the bottom of the pool
6) Climb out of the pool unaided (without the use of steps)
