Arable Operator / Farm Worker Job in North Lincolnshire
J&J Fretwell Farming are a family arable farming business specialising in potato production in addition to growing cereals, sugar beet and oilseed rape based in Westwoodside, Doncaster.
An arable operator / farm worker is required to join our team.
The candidate must be enthusiastic, have good attention to detail with an easy-going, can-do attitude and willing to learn. Long hours are required at peak times.
We operate up to date, modern machinery including Fendt and John Deere tractors with Trimble GPS to achieve high standards.
Roles to include
- Operating a 6-row potato topper
- Irrigation across the potato area using Jones reels
- Cultivation and Drilling
- Bed-forming for potatoes
- Carting of cereals and potatoes
- Operating an industrial forklift to load potato boxes into stores
- Assisting in operating our automated potato bagging line
- Workshop duties including repairs and servicing
- General tractor and farm work
Given the proximity to harvest previous experience is preferred. This position offers a great opportunity, new challenge.
