We are looking for a HR Advisor to join our successful HR team. This is a home based role, but travel is required to our Kirkham head office twice per month.
Role and Responsibilities
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and is confident taking ownership in their role. You will act as a trusted partner to both managers and employees, providing practical, expert guidance on a wide range of HR matters.
Your responsibilities will include supporting employee relations issues, performance management processes, and ensuring consistent application of HR policies and procedures. You will also play a key role in promoting a positive workplace culture, driving employee engagement, and ensuring compliance with current employment legislation and internal company standards.
The successful candidate's responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Provide advice and guidance on Company policies, procedures and non-complex ER matters relating to the employee lifecycle
- Managing our HR inbox as the first point of contact for all HR queries, escalating to the Business Partners as required.
- Responsible for issuing and maintaining details of the company Pension scheme, including migrating schemes following acquisitions
- Ensuring all HR data is maintained accurately and kept up to date within our HR systems.
- To assist and manage non-complex ER cases and escalate where appropriate.
- To continually develop the use of your initiative in ER cases and put forward suggested approaches in each case
- Ensuring all work is completed within HR SLA’s
- Issuing employee communication such as contracts and letters.
- Work collaboratively with HR team members to deliver HR initiatives
- Provide reliable and comprehensive reports and strong analytics on a monthly basis for sickness absence, cost of sickness, turnover, reasons for leaving, and recruitment
- Develop new and enhance existing reports based on the needs of the business
- Ad-hoc projects and tasks as required for HR
- Read and comply with the company Health & Safety Policy; taking reasonable care for the Health & Safety of themselves and others; co-operate with managers and other employees in fulfilling our objectives and statutory duties.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Essential:
- Strong Excel skills
- CIPD Level 3 Diploma in Human Resource Management
- Good understanding of Employment Law and HR best practise
- Experience in HR information systems
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal
- Good working knowledge of Excel
- Analytical skills
Desirable:
- CIPD Level 5 Diploma in Human Resource Management
- A minimum of two years working in a HR Advisory position
