Job Description

What you’ll be doing
As a qualified Dispensing Optician, you will be providing a high level of customer care and expert advice to make a real difference to our customers and keep them coming back. You will work in one of our stores, reporting to the Store Manager.

Key responsibilities

Providing clinical support in store for regulated dispensing
Inspiring your Optical team by sharing your knowledge to offer the very best service.
Listening to the needs of customers and offer expertise and advice.
Helping our customers to choose the correct eyewear and offer guidance to ensure our customers receive the best product suited to their needs.
Supporting the team to deliver an efficient model day and operational processes to ensure that the business trades legally.
Providing expert knowledge for patients with more specialist requirements.

What you’ll need to have (our must-haves)

Registered with the General Optical Council (GOC)
Passion for your own learning and development, completing all CPD training as part of the GOC requirement.

Ability to embrace new technologies

Our Mildenhall store is home to a friendly and experienced team of 4, offering a supportive environment where you can thrive and develop within your role. You’ll work with a loyal patient base in a community-focused setting, helping to deliver outstanding customer care every day.

The role includes alternate weekend working, with the store closed on Sundays to support a healthy work-life balance. Free parking is available nearby, and the location benefits from being close to RAF Mildenhall and surrounding local communities.
