About Lift
Lift Pharmacy is a modern, digitally led distance-selling pharmacy focused on delivering safe, efficient, and patient-centred care across the UK. As part of the wider Medichecks Group, we work closely with specialist clinical teams to support patients receiving personalised treatment and ongoing care.
Our pharmacy combines clinical governance, technology, and operational excellence to provide a high-quality dispensing and delivery service in a fast-growing and innovative healthcare environment. We are building a team that is passionate about patient safety, continuous improvement, and helping shape the future of healthcare delivery.
Purpose of the Role
The primary purpose of the Pharmacy Dispenser (NVQ Level 2) within our pharmacy is to safely, accurately, and efficiently process, dispense, and dispatch prescription medications to patients nationwide. Operating in a clinically driven hub rather than a traditional face-to-face environment, you will focus on precision dispensing, robust stock management, and strict adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and GPhC regulations.
As a key member of the dispensary team, your role is vital in ensuring that the right patient receives the right medication at the right time, maintaining exceptional quality control and patient safety through digital and mail order workflows.
Key Responsibilities
Accurate Dispensing: Accurately assemble, label, and package acute and repeat prescriptions using a Pharmacy PMR system, ensuring a consistently high standard of dispensing accuracy prior to final pharmacist/ACT accuracy checking.
Distance Care Optimisation: Prepare medications specifically for courier and postal delivery, including the correct handling and packaging of temperature-sensitive items (cold chain) and controlled drugs.
Inventory & Stock Control: Monitor stock levels, rotate expiry dates, process incoming orders, and safely store pharmaceuticals to minimize waste and ensure continuous supply.
Clinical Governance & Safety: Strictly adhere to the pharmacy’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), data protection laws (GDPR), and health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Queries & Communication: Manage digital and telephone queries from patients, our clinical teams, and couriers professionally, escalating any clinical queries directly to the Responsible Pharmacist.
