Due to ongoing investment and continued growth we have an opportunity for a motivated individual to join our Digital Finishing Department.
Working Hours:
Week 1- 6.00am- 2.30pm- Monday- Friday + 45 Minute Break
Week 2- 1.30pm- 11.00pm- Monday- Thursday + 45 Minute Break
General duties will include:
- Produce, finish and pack self-adhesive labels in line with the specification on each job sheet.
- Set up and operate Digital Finishing Lines- ABG Digicon or BGM Digiflex
- Set up using print cylinders, magnetic cylinders, plates and die cutters.
- Set up die cutters, varnishes and flexo stations.
- Set up spot varnishes and Cold Foiling units.
- Set up and operate Plain Label and Rewind Inspection Machines using hand tools.
- Inspect and quality check each job while machine is operating and adjust as necessary.
- Finished jobs packed and labelled up correctly and handed over to the Despatch Department.
- Add Operator notes to Job Sheets and MIS software with instructions and operational advice for the set up and production of each job.
- Responsibility for keeping a clean & organised working environment.
You must have:
- Experience within the label manufacturing industry or print.
- The ability to work productively, on your own and as part of a team.
- Ability to work well in a high pressure, fast paced production environment.
- Experience operating die- cutting machinery.
- Strong communication and must be able to work well with others.
- Good basic IT skills, literacy and numeracy.
Experience Preferred:
- Operating Label Machinery: 2 Year+ Required
- Quality Control & Inspection: 1 year+ Required
- Manufacturing Environment: 1 year+ Required
