Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Hair Braider to join our dynamic beauty team. The ideal candidate will specialise in creating intricate and fashionable braiding styles, providing exceptional customer service, and contributing to a welcoming salon environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop your skills in various beauty treatments while delivering outstanding client experiences. The position is paid and suitable for individuals eager to grow within the beauty industry.

Responsibilities

Execute a variety of braiding techniques tailored to clients’ preferences, including classic, box, cornrow, and intricate styles
Provide personalised consultations to understand clients’ desired looks and offer professional advice
Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in all work areas and tools
Assist clients with colour matching and product recommendations to enhance their overall look
Manage appointment schedules efficiently, ensuring timely service delivery
Upsell additional beauty services such as eyelash extensions, makeup application, or hair treatments where appropriate
Deliver excellent customer service by creating a friendly and professional atmosphere
Support store management with organisational tasks as needed, including front desk duties and client record keeping
Mentor junior team members to foster skill development and teamwork

Skills

Proven experience in hair braiding techniques with a keen eye for detail
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
Customer service orientation with the ability to build rapport and ensure client satisfaction
Knowledge of store management practices is advantageous
Experience in barbering, eyelash extensions, or makeup application is desirable but not essential
Ability to upsell services confidently while maintaining professionalism
Excellent organisational skills to manage appointments and maintain a tidy work environment
Mentoring skills to support the development of less experienced colleagues
