Full job description

We are seeking a driven and commercially minded individual to join our team in Birmingham as a Training Negotiator. This is a structured, entry-level position designed to equip the right candidate with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to become a successful negotiator.

You will receive hands-on training from experienced professionals, gaining exposure to the full negotiation process while developing your own client relationships and commercial instincts. For candidates who are ambitious, professional, and committed to their own development, this role offers a clear and rewarding career pathway.

Working hours

Core working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. On occasion, candidates may be required to contribute to additional projects or business activity outside of standard hours. Any such requirements will be communicated clearly and in advance.

Key responsibilities

Developing a thorough understanding of the negotiation process under the guidance of senior team members
Engaging with clients and prospects via telephone, email, and in-person meetings
Managing and maintaining an active pipeline of leads and opportunities
Shadowing senior negotiators on key accounts to build practical, real-world experience
Contributing to additional projects and business development initiatives as required
Progressing against agreed training milestones and performance targets
Cultivating and maintaining professional relationships with clients and stakeholders

What we're looking for

A confident, articulate communicator — comfortable on the telephone and in person
A proactive, self-motivated individual who takes ownership of their work
Resilient and target-focused, with a results-driven approach
Well-organised with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively
A genuine eagerness to learn and develop within a professional environment
Prior experience in a sales, customer service, or client-facing role is advantageous but not essential
GCSEs or equivalent, including English and Maths
