Franklin Hodge Industries Limited are leaders in the design, manufacture and installation of grain silos, cooling towers and liquid storage systems for the storage of fire sprinkler, high quality industrial process and drinking (potable) water. From our office in Hereford and manufacturing facility in Birmingham, we supply our products across all industries, locally, nationally, and globally.
We are looking for a reliable and proactive Driver / Kitter to support our manufacturing and site operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a hands-on position combining driving, equipment handling and practical on-site support. You will be responsible for delivering and collecting equipment, preparing product kits, supporting site teams during set-up and ensuring all equipment is handled safely, efficiently and in line with company procedures.
This is a varied role that requires strong organisation, attention to detail and a flexible approach, including occasional overnight stays where required (overnight allowances paid). The role can also be physically demanding at times, involving manual handling, unloading and setting up equipment on site.
Key responsibilities
- Safely deliver and collect lifting equipment and product kits to and from customer sites.
- Check deliveries to ensure all required parts and equipment are included and ready for site use.
- Assist with unloading, positioning and setting up equipment and kits at customer locations.
- Provide practical support during the early stages of builds or assembly work as needed.
- Ensure equipment is returned to the correct location for storage, maintenance or redistribution.
- Identify and report any equipment faults or issues promptly.
- Help ensure lifting equipment is compliant, certified and recorded correctly.
- Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams to support smooth project delivery.
- Stay overnight on-site when required by the needs of the job.

- Experience in a delivery, manufacturing, engineering or site-based role would be an advantage.
- A full UK driving licence is required for this role.
