The Premium Senior PMO Analyst plays a pivotal role in shaping and strengthening portfolio governance across Retail Technology and Change. The role provides strategic oversight of the Premium portfolio, ensuring programmes and projects are planned, governed, and reported effectively in line with enterprise standards and industry best practice.
Working closely with senior stakeholders, the role drives consistent, high-quality portfolio reporting to support effective executive decision-making. It provides clear visibility of delivery plans, interdependencies, resource demand, and capacity across the portfolio. The role supports the Retail Technology and Change resource management process and contributes to wider Retail portfolio resource planning, enabling informed prioritisation and investment decisions. Acting as a trusted advisor, the Senior PMO Analyst provides expert consultation and support to Project Managers and PMOs, promoting consistent adoption of standards and continuous improvement. The role fosters a strong governance culture, supporting both Agile and Waterfall delivery approaches, and proactively manages risks, dependencies, change control, and benefits to ensure change is delivered in a controlled, transparent, and value-focused manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Supports programme or project control boards, project assurance teams and quality review meetings.

Takes responsibility for the provision of support services to projects. Uses project control solutions for planning, scheduling and tracking. Sets up and provides guidance on project management software, procedures, processes, tools and techniques.

Provides basic guidance on project proposals. May provide views across projects on topics such as risk, quality, finance, or configuration management.

Gathers, maintains and analyses organisation-wide workforce capability data.

Performs gap analysis to identify workforce strengths and shortfalls with reference to business strategy and specific future needs.

Contributes to the development of organisation-wide workforce plans to meet current and future demand.

Ensure that all Governance and Compliance requirements are adhered to and all reporting and reviewing activities required by the Regulatory Bodies are carried out to the standards required.
WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE/ARE:

Worked in a delivery environment, preferably in a Financial Services environment.

An understanding of and can demonstrate application of key PMO responsibilities, methods, disciplines, tools and analysis techniques, to monitor, control and report on Programmes and/or Projects.

Familiar with methods and techniques for reporting progress and financial conformance against an agreed plan

Familiar with principles, methods, techniques and tools for the effective management of projects from initiation through to implementation.
