Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative to join our team. In this role, you will support the day-to-day running of the warehouse by picking and packing orders, receiving deliveries, and preparing orders for dispatch.
The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently. Previous warehouse experience and or forklift licence is preferred
Duties
- Handling materials efficiently, including loading and unloading goods from lorries and storage areas up to 30kg
- Operating forklifts and other warehouse machinery safely
- Managing stock levels and inventory movements
- Picking and packing orders accurately for dispatch
- Assisting with shipping and receiving activities, ensuring all items are correctly documented
- Conducting quality control checks to maintain high standards of product integrity
- Ensuring the workspace remains clean, safe, and organised at all times
- Supporting overall daily warehouse operations
Skills
- Competence in operating forklift trucks and familiarity with warehouse management is desirable
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for inventory accuracy and quality control
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during load & unload activities
- Understanding of shipping & receiving procedures and safety protocols
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual handling tasks throughout the shift
- Confident serving and assisting customers at the warehouse trade counter in a friendly and professional manner.
Pay: £12.71-£15.50 per hour
