About Kinetic Logistics
Kinetic Logistics is a leading provider of transport, warehousing, fulfilment and two-person home delivery services across the UK. We are an ambitious, fast-growing business with an excellent reputation for customer service and operational excellence.
We're looking for a hands-on sales leader who can lead from the front—someone who enjoys building relationships, opening doors and winning new business, whilst managing and developing our sales function.
The Role
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will take ownership of the company's sales strategy, business development activities and commercial performance.
You will be responsible for growing revenue, developing the sales team, managing pricing strategies and ensuring the department delivers outstanding customer service while achieving ambitious sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver the company's sales strategy.
- Generate and secure new business across transport, warehousing, fulfilment and home delivery services.
- Lead, manage and develop the sales team.
- Allocate and manage the team's workload to ensure enquiries and opportunities are followed up promptly.
- Set sales targets, KPIs and performance expectations.
- Build strong relationships with key customers and decision-makers.
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through to contract award.
- Prepare quotations, proposals and tender submissions.
- Develop and maintain competitive pricing structures while protecting company margins.
- Approve customer pricing and commercial agreements.
- Work closely with Operations and Finance to ensure commercially viable solutions are delivered.
- Monitor sales performance, pipeline activity and forecasts.
- Analyse market trends and competitor activity.
- Represent Kinetic Logistics at customer meetings and industry events.
Essential Requirements
Please note: Applications without proven logistics sales experience will not be considered.
You must have:
- At least 5 years' experience selling logistics, transport, warehousing or fulfilment services.
- A proven track record of securing new business and exceeding sales targets.
- Experience managing a sales team.
- Strong commercial awareness and pricing experience.
- Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
- Experience building relationships with senior decision-makers.
- Ability to develop sales strategies and deliver measurable results.
- Strong organisational and leadership skills.
- Experience using CRM systems and producing sales forecasts.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
- White Glove Delivery experience.
- Two-Person Home Delivery experience.
- Furniture or Retail Logistics experience.
- Contract logistics and fulfilment experience.
- Tender management experience.
