This is not simply a teaching role.
We are looking for someone who wants to build meaningful relationships with children and families, inspire young people through outstanding teaching, and play an important role in helping students thrive throughout their journey at Dakodas.
The Role
This role combines teaching, student development and academy support.
You will spend part of your week teaching and inspiring children and part of your week helping to ensure that every student and family receives an outstanding experience.
You will:
- Teach ballet to children of varying ages and abilities.
- Create engaging, well-planned lessons that challenge and inspire learners.
- Adapt teaching to support individual student needs and progression.
- Build strong relationships with students and families.
- Support student progression by identifying opportunities, suitable classes, examinations, performances and other development pathways.
- Communicate confidently and professionally with parents regarding progress, achievements and opportunities.
- Provide personalised feedback that helps students grow in confidence and ability.
- Support examinations, performances, workshops, holiday programmes and academy events.
- Assist with student retention, trial follow-up and student experience initiatives.
- Support the day-to-day organisation and administration of the academy.
- Contribute ideas and solutions that help improve systems, programmes and the overall student experience.
- Help create a warm, welcoming and inclusive environment where every child feels valued and supported.

Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
- Experience teaching dance to children.
- Exceptional ballet training.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine passion for working with young people.
- The right to work in the UK.
Desirable:
- RAD teaching qualifications.
- Contemporary, lyrical, jazz, musical theatre or commercial dance experience.
- Acro or gymnastics teaching experience.
- Experience supporting examinations, performances or competitions.
- Previous experience in customer service, administration or student engagement.

Six months from starting with us, you will:
- Know your students well and understand their individual goals and personalities.
- Have built strong relationships with the families you teach.
- Be confidently guiding students towards the most appropriate classes and opportunities.
- Be contributing ideas that improve the student experience.
- Be playing an important role in helping Dakodas continue to grow.
